Lenovo has announced updates to its ThinkPad line of laptops, and they’re adding quite a bit of power and battery life. The laptops are getting Intel’s 10th-gen Comet Lake mobile processors, which could be quite exciting for anyone in the market for a new high-end device.
The X1 Carbon and X1 Yoga feature 10th-generation Comet Lake six-core Core i7-10710U processors. Those processors offer faster clock speeds than the previous versions, and any bit of power you can squeeze out of a high-end laptop is a good thing.
What really makes these two high-end laptops stand out is the battery life—Lenovo says they’ll manage to get up to 18 hours of juice on a single charge, which is quite crazy.
The new laptops are available with several screen options with brightnesses ranging from 300-nit to 500-nit. There are 1080p and UHD version available as well.
There are some pretty cool security features on the X1 Carbon and X1 Yoga as well. Like most business laptops, there’s a fingerprint reader, an IR camera, and a shutter that’ll block the webcam.
Each of the high-end laptops is tiny, with the Carbon weighing in at 2.4 pounds and the Yoga tipping the scales at a slightly heavier 2.9 pounds. The X1 Carbon is only 14.9mm thin, while the thicker convertible Yoga is 15.5mm.
For connectivity, the Carbon features Wi-Fi 6 and Global LTE-A Wireless, which is the latest available internet technology. The Yoga has the LTE but doesn’t include the Wi-Fi 6 option.
Here are some other cool features of the laptops:
Both the X1 Carbon and X1 Yoga will be available in September. The Carbon will start at $1,479, and go up from there based on the configuration. For the X1 Yoga, the price starts at $1,609.

IMDb TV is now available on your mobile. IMDb was previously only available on the IMDb website, Prime Video, and Amazon Fire devices. However, IMDb TV is now available on the IMDb apps for Android and iOS. Bringing free streaming to your smartphone.
In January 2019, IMDb launched Freedive. Amazon, which owns IMDb, soon changed the name to IMDb TV, but the offering remained the same. IMDb TV is a free streaming service stuffed with movies and TV shows. As long as you’re willing to watch a few ads.
The ad-supported streaming service boasts hundreds of movies and TV shows, all available to watch for free. The catalog cannot compete with the likes of Netflix and Hulu, but if you have a penchant for older titles you should find something worth watching.
Having previously been limited to the IMDb and Amazon devices, IMDb TV is now available on Android and iOS as well. You don’t even need to download a new app, as IMDb TV has been added to the standard IMDb app under the new “IMDb TV” category.

IMDb TV is another free streaming service worth exploring. OK, so you may have already seen the content on offer, but many are good enough to warrant repeat viewing. Plus, IMDb TV is free. Unfortunately, however, IMDb TV is only available in the US.
There are, of course, other ways to watch movies and TV shows online for free. So once you’ve worked your way through what IMDb TV has to offer, here are the best free streaming websites and the best free streaming apps for your viewing pleasure.
